Strengths:  Super quick reflexes- hard to hit, hard to kill.  However, he's not a fighter, prefers to work with subterfuge.
                Cunning- he usually plans before running in head first to prevent any unnecessary collateral damage (to himself or to others with him.)
                Strength- mostly in his tail and mouth, he may not be poisonous personally, but he can do damage.
Weaknesses: Lethargic during the cold seasons (he's a snake after all).
                    Blending in with his surroundings has proven difficult with his white skin.
                    Unlike others, he has no real poison of his own, he must rely on his strength alone to bring down an enemy should the need arise.}

[ Personal Information ]

<sub>Personality: Observant- can often be found staring at others, from tree tops to inside of bushes and hollowed out logs.  This is how he assesses a situation and finds out information about his target or others around him.
                  Calculating- by gathering said knowledge through observation, he tends to use what he has found out or knows to his advantage or for the betterment of his own people.
                  Loyal- Upholds his end of any deal.  He will do as he has promised, his own personal feelings aside even if things change.
                  Flirtatious- Depending upon who it is, if he likes you or not, he will proceed to flirt openly regardless of others present.  However, his flirtation is like an elementary school kid, where he will try to find your weakness and harass you with it until you either cave in or walk away. (ie. Will pull your hair as a sign he likes you.)
                  Curious- Plays into his observant nature but he's also curious about things that he does not know, to the point of going out of his way to touch/taste/hear/smell/see it.  He especially loves to taste it above all the other senses.  (Don't be surprised he might stick random things in his big mouth.)
                  Narcissistic- He knows he looks good, he lives for compliments and high praises.  Put downs can really make him moody.
                  Anger issues- Even though these might be rare depending on what happens, he will lash out in a blind fury should he get angry enough.  It takes a while, but the result of this anger is not a good thing and should be avoided at all costs.  (No one is safe.)
                  Greedy- Not just for shiny things or libations from his shrine, but for knowledge as well.  He can sometimes be a bit too persistent in his pursuit of things that he tends to forget his boundaries of what he can and cannot do.  Aka, he'll stick his nose where it doesn't belong from time to time.
                  Noncommittal- He is hard to pin down for an actual relationship, not really fearful (he says) of it but more like it's not his 'time' to settle down yet.  Even though he's certainly old enough to do so.
                  Power tripping- Sometimes, when rather bored, he can tend to abuse his position as the deity among his own kind.  (Ordering random tasks to be done at a whim that have nothing to do with anything necessary, just merely for amusement.)

History:  Within his family, his grandfather was the original "snake god" before he came along.  Upon his grandfather's passing and upon his birth, he was to become the next Deity.  The tooth around his neck is the tooth of his grandfather that contains a potent poison mixture.  (Never to be used but to always be kept as a reminder of the strength of his clan.)  Even though Hakurin doesn't have the ability to create poisons of his own, given his inherited nature he was taught how to fend for himself effectively.  As a child he was often shown various methods of ruling his people, treated special for his position and praised for the beautiful color of his scales.  His ability alone to transform into a human was found to be most fascinating as his grandfather before him could not change form as easily.  His parents were often shoved to the side by advisers to the 'gods' took their place to school this child into becoming the great deity determined in his destiny.  Through his teen years he grew rebellious, hating his powers and abilities without having any true reason to use them.  He also lost his parents around this time due to natural aging.  (Unlike him, they lived a 'normal' enough lifespan.)  His people, hiding in the shadows for so long had made it so hard to go anywhere outside the 'designated forest area' he was limited to.  One summer, many many many years ago when he was but a 'teen' (his life is much longer than a human so quite some time ago), he escaped the forest and ended up in a clearing where an old man found him.  At first he was fearful of this human creature he'd never really seen before, but this happened to be a kind old man of which talked to him in kind words.  Hakurin spoke to the old man, which did cause a bit of shock and surprise but soon was followed by reverence.  The old man promised to make a place for the "Sacred White Snake" to rest and visit.  It became Hakurin's home and also a legend among the small townsfolk of the old man's village.  People visited the shrine in hopes to speak with the white snake like the old man did but none were lucky (so far).  In his early 20s, he settled back into a routine between lessons with the advisers that continued to preach to him and visiting the shrine, finding a taste for sake that was sometimes left for him.  Through this he began to learn things about humans as well as hear rumors about the other animal clans within the same area.  Information and gossip became more and more a part of his life and through that he met other clans and established a well known network of spies and informants.  Currently he is in the start of his prime, hoping to have a hand in shaping the future.</sub>
